Privacy Policy

Last updated November 7, 2026

This policy explains what information Tachara LLC ("we") collects when you use Sharp at sharpinterview.online and the Sharp Android app (package com.sharp.interview), how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and a one-way hash of your password (we never store your password itself). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
  • Study activity: the sessions you start, your answers, scores, time spent per question, flashcard ratings and review schedule, bookmarks, streaks and settings (target track, daily goal, theme, timezone).
  • Technical data: sign-in session records (including the browser or device user-agent) and standard server logs such as IP address, used to keep your account secure and to prevent abuse.
  • Website analytics: Google Analytics collects page views, interactions, referral sources, and browser and device information to help us understand how the website is used.

We do not sell your personal information or show third-party ads.

How we use it

  • To provide the service: grade your answers, show results and history, schedule flashcards, and suggest topics to focus on.
  • To send account emails such as email verification and password resets.
  • To keep Sharp secure, including rate-limiting sign-in attempts and detecting misuse.
  • To improve our content in aggregate, for example finding questions most learners miss.
  • To understand website traffic and improve the website using Google Analytics reports.

Service providers

  • Render hosts the application and its database.
  • Resend delivers account emails.
  • Google Analytics measures website usage (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location). Google signals and ad personalization are turned off.
  • Google processes sign-in if you choose "Continue with Google", and website usage data through Google Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our website tag. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Anthropic (only if AI feedback is enabled and you request it): the question, model answer and your written answer are sent to generate feedback. Nothing is sent unless you press "Get AI feedback".

Cookies

We use essential cookies: secure, http-only cookies that keep you signed in, and a security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Your theme choice may be kept in your browser's local storage. The website also uses Google Analytics cookies to distinguish visits and measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We don't use advertising cookies.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion permanently removes your account and all associated study data from our database right away. Encrypted backups roll over and are purged within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, all traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and sign-in sessions use short-lived tokens that you can revoke by signing out or resetting your password.

Children

Sharp is intended for adults and students aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Most of this you can do yourself in the app; for anything else, email info@tachara.online.

Changes

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
